PTFE-with Steel Insert gaskets are used for a number of different applications. For Example

Steel reinforced PTFE Gaskets are used or require where ,

  • Higher Blow out resistance is require.
  • Higher pressures are encountered.
  • Sudden failure in a system would be hazardous.
  • Pressure variations are present.
  • A tight seal is needed to control emissions.
  • Liquids or gases are corrosive.
  • Product Contamination must be avoided.

    Depending on the construction ( of insert ) they are suitable for use in many sectors. Our supply program consist of Gaskets Body made from either modified PTFE or from expanded PTFE with either Tang or corrugated metallic ring type insert made of either SS 304 or, SS 316 materials

ePTFE + Corrugated SS 316 Insert - Style PITA ®.

The body is made in Virgin , low -density PTFE with a Multi-directionally oriented fibrous structure .It is additionally fitted with a SS 316 corrugated steel ring. The ID of the corrugated insert is completely isolated from the Process Media with a unique ePTFE envelope ,manufactured utilizing proprietary process. NO exotic alloy metallurgy is required. Unlike ALL others similar Designs there is no adhesive layer compressed between the flange raised faces. Bolt load is not affected by adhesive volume loss.

Application : Plastic, enamel or rubber-lined flanges & steel flanges

Dimensions : ANSI 150 #; 300 #.

Pressure : Vacuum up to 200 bar.

Temperature : 230°C (short-term up to 250°C).

 

Body Envelope : ePTFE

Corrugated Ring : SS 316

Gasket thickness : 3.0 mm

Phoenix identification : PS 7200 A Flat gasket.

ePTFE + Corrugated SS 316 Insert - TYPE1

The body is made in virgin, low-density PTFE with a multi-directionally oriented fibrous structure. It is additionally fitted with a corrugated ring of SS 316 insert. ID of the corrugated metal insert is exposed to the process media.

Application : Plastic, enamel or rubber-lined flanges &, steel flanges

Dimensions : ANSI 150 #, 300 #

 

Pressure : Vacuum up to 200 bar

Temperature : 230°C (short-term up to 250°C).

Gasket thickness : 3 mm

Phoenix identification : PS 7200 Flat gasket.

mPTFE + SS 304 perforated Insert type.

mPTFE is molded and oven sintered in a proprietary process totally encapsulating a grade 304 stainless steel perforated reinforcement core. The stainless steel core confines the PTFE and greatly reduces the effect of creep and cold flow of the gasket within the flange.

Application : Steel flanges.

Dimensions : ANSI 150 #, 300 #.

 

Pressure : Up to max. 20 bar.

Temperature : 200° C.

Gasket thickness : 3 mm.

Phoenix identification : PS 7100 Flat gasket.

Style : 01.
